Project Description
Cru D’exception
Cru D’exception Merlot
In the 1990s, the Bordeaux region witnessed the rise of “garage wines”—crafted from highly concentrated grapes grown on low-yield micro-terroirs through meticulous green harvesting. Vinified in small tanks or foudres, often inside actual garages, these wines followed customized, detail-oriented winemaking protocols. Conceived like fine perfumes, they are dense, complex, and built to age. In 2000, the Deicas family began producing varietal wines in this same haute couture style, thus creating the Cru d’Exception line.
