Project Description

Cru D’exception

Cru D’exception Malbec

In the 1990s, the Bordeaux wine scene gave birth to the “garage wine” movement—crafted from highly concentrated grapes grown on low-yield micro-terroirs through meticulous green harvesting. Vinified in small tanks or foudres, often within garage-sized spaces, these wines followed precision winemaking protocols tailored to each vintage. Conceived like fine perfumes, they are dense, complex, and built for long aging. In 2000, the Deicas family began producing varietal wines in this same haute couture style, giving rise to the Cru d’Exception line.

Aged between 18 and 24 months in French oak barrels, completing the crafting process. Deep violet-red hue, nearly impenetrable—hinting at the wine’s structure and aging potential.
Displays intense aromatic complexity with ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum. Firm tannins and a well-balanced acidity bring freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering aftertaste of ripe fruit and subtle spice.
Serve between 13–17°C (55–63°F), ideally enjoyed at 16–20°C (61–68°F). Decanting one hour before serving is recommended.
