The Capitán Miranda and Familia Deicas: A Toast to Uruguay on the High Seas
The Capitán Miranda, Uruguay’s training ship, sails the world representing the best of our culture. At Familia Deicas, as a sponsor for over 20 years, we accompany this journey by bringing our wines to every port.
The first event organized by the new crew of the Capitán Miranda was a resounding success. This training ship, a national pride, has been sailing the world’s oceans for years, carrying the name of Uruguay and representing the country at various international ports. At each stop, receptions are held to showcase the best of our culture, and Familia Deicas has been present throughout these journeys as a sponsor for over two decades.
On this occasion, we had the pleasure of offering a selection of our wines, which were praised by attendees who enjoyed a unique experience while admiring the stunning sunsets in front of Casa Pueblo and the sunset of Punta del Este from the sea. The event became a celebration of Uruguay’s winemaking tradition, strengthening the connection between the sea, wine, and our national culture.
A Legacy of Uruguayan Wine and Culture Around the World
Familia Deicas’ presence at these events goes beyond collaboration; it’s a commitment to promoting Uruguayan culture and wines internationally. Through the Capitán Miranda, we’ve taken our legacy to different parts of the world, where our wines are increasingly recognized.
Nino Deicas, brand ambassador for Bodega Familia Deicas, remarked: “This event celebrates the best of our culture and tradition. We are proud to take our wines to so many parts of the world alongside the Capitán Miranda, a true ambassador of Uruguay.”
These types of events strengthen Familia Deicas’ international presence, reaffirming our mission to share the best of Uruguay with the world, both through viticulture and cultural identity.
